Our Heart for Outreach

At Cornerstone Bible Church, our mission is to make disciples at home — and that begins right here in our own community. We believe the best way to do this is by being actively engaged in the lives of our neighbors, building relationships, and sharing the hope of the gospel in both word and action.

Below, you’ll find a list of ways we’re involved in sharing the gospel and making disciples in the Lilburn area. These ministries are opportunities for you to join us in living out the Great Commission close to home.

But our vision doesn’t stop at the city limits. CBC is also committed to making disciples globally by sending teams on short-term mission trips. These trips give participants the opportunity to serve others, share the gospel, and experience firsthand the greatness of our God as they see Him at work in different cultures and nations.

Short-Term Mission Trips

As a mission-minded church, we love seeing God open doors for short-term mission trips each year — both for adults and students. These trips are never about taking a vacation; they’re about partnering with local churches and missionaries to serve according to their needs, not just our own ideas.

Our goal is to encourage, assist, and strengthen gospel work that’s already happening on the ground. Over the years, CBC teams have served in places like:

  • Kingston, Jamaica — Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf (since 1994, intermittent)

  • Costa Rica (since 1996, intermittent)

  • Athens, Greece (2018, 2023)

  • Asia, Africa, and South America — with Wycliffe Bible Translators, including summer ESL teaching

  • Various locations in the U.S. — West Virginia, Arkansas, Mississippi, and more

Through these trips, participants not only help meet practical needs but also share the gospel, build relationships, and see firsthand how God is at work around the world.

Good News Club @ Camp Creek Elementary

When: Mondays, 3:00–5:15 PM (September–May)

Good News Club is a weekly after-school ministry where we share the gospel and God’s Word with students at Camp Creek Elementary. Each week, kids enjoy a time of worship through songs, hear a Bible lesson with a clear gospel presentation, and participate in small group discussions.

We are looking for volunteers to help lead these small groups — guiding students in discussing the lesson, reviewing memory verses, and simply building relationships with them. You’ll be fully trained and equipped to take the Good News to “our Jerusalem” — right here in our local community.

If you feel led to serve, sign up at goodnewsclubgwinnett.org. You’ll be a blessing to these kids — and you’ll be blessed in return!

Lilburn Co-Op — Kay's Pantry

The Lilburn Co-Op serves our community by providing food to families in need who do not receive full food stamp assistance. Through Kay’s Pantry, clients can receive food on a bi-weekly basis, helping to meet a very real need in our area. Learn more at lilburnco-op.org.

Cornerstone Bible Church partners with the Co-Op by collecting items for Kay’s Pantry year-round. Donations can be brought to the church and placed in the trunk by the main office door.

We also join in the “Angel Tree” ministry each Christmas, providing gifts for individuals and families in need.
