Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and an act of obedience to His command. In the evangelical Christian tradition, it symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3–4). While baptism itself does not save—salvation comes by grace through faith—it serves as an outward testimony of the inward transformation that has taken place through the Holy Spirit. Immersion in water represents dying to sin and rising to new life in Christ, and it is a joyful step for every follower of Jesus as they commit to walking in His ways.
If you’ve put your faith in Jesus, baptism is your next step—it’s how you publicly declare your new life in Him. Whether you became a follower of Christ recently or years ago, now is the time to obey His call and be baptized.
To participate, email office@cbclilburn.org. Adults and children (with a parent) will meet with Pastor Peter beforehand.
Join us after church to celebrate this special moment together—we’ll wrap up by 12:45 PM.
